Vu Televisions with Android and Google Assistant expected to launch today

The Mi TV 4A series was launched in China back in March a year ago, but the model launched in India has a few differences. The new Android TV series from Vu appears have been launched to take on Xiaomi's entry into the Indian market with its own 4K HDR offering, the 55-inch Mi TV 4 that's priced at Rs. 39,999. The product will be up for sale at 12pm on the online platforms.

The Mi TV 4A series was launched in China in March previous year. This is leaving many prospect buyers with a bitter purchasing experience. With the new range of TVs the company gears up to give a tough competition to Xiaomi. The company will be conducting two sales per week; one on Tuesday and the second one on Friday.

The 43-inch Mi TV 4A price in India has been set at Rs. 22,999 at launch, while the 32-inch Mi TV 4A is priced at Rs. 13,999. Price in India starts at Rs 13,999 making it one of the cheapest smart TVs in India. And all the three models feature a 4K panel, which is a surprise, especially considering the price of the 43-inch model. The company is providing a Mi IR cable with all three TVs till May 31. The TV also comes integrated with two 5W speakers, and weighs around 4 kilograms. Xiaomi says the TVs offer over 500,000 hours of content, of which 80 percent will be free content from partners like Hotstar, Voot, Voot Kids, Sony Liv, Hungama Play, Zee5, Sun NXT, ALT Balaji, Viu, TVF, and Flickstree. The company also claims that nearly 80 per cent of this content is free. All three models also come with voice-control enabled remote controllers and built-in Chromecast features.

Technical specifications in all the Smart TVs include a quad-core processor, 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage to store files on the TV.

For connectivity, both variants of Mi TV 4A come with three HDMI ports, two USB ports, Ethernet port, WiFi and a headphone jack. The 32-inch model arrives with the 2 USB 2.0 ports and misses out on the S/PDIF port, with the rest of the connectivity options being the same. The TVs will also come with a detachable power cord, table top stand and wall mount brackets in the box.

Both these Mi TV 4A models will go on the sale via Flipkart, Mi com, and Mi Home stores for the first time ever on this Tuesday, and sale of the Mi TV 4A will begin from this 12 pm IST.
