With the release of False, only three DLC characters remain for Street Fighter V's third season: Cody, G, and Sagat. Falke will be landing in the game with the next set of downloadable content, Capcom announced today.
You can check out Falke's gameplay trailer below alongside several screenshots and GIFs of her. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is now available on PC and PS4.
According to her backstory, she was built and trained to be an alternative clone for M. Bison but was eventually rescued by Ed. "She was heavily experimented on by Shadaloo and was forced to train day in, day out to achieve perfection". As the years went by and the hard training continued, she began to despair, but finally, Ed, who was new in Street Fighter 4, rescued her and helped her get away from Shadaloo. Now, the two have a sibling-like bond and are searching for others like them in need of help.
Harmony allows Falke to be a more ranged character, but also introduces an interesting use of Psycho Power. The character stores her Psycho Power until the player releases the punch button, when she releases her power in one of three ways. Psycho Feder is an air attack where she shoots a downward projectile at an angle. This prone move, called Psycho Kanonen, can also be used to duck incoming projectiles, giving it both offensive and defensive applications. While in this position, she's able to dodge projectiles that are aimed at her. When Falke releases on April 24, she will cost $5.99, but can be earned in game with 100,000 Fight Money. "Pressing two kicks is Katapult, which sees Falke pole vaulting towards the opponent in a kick motion". Down, hard punch, and hard kick, meanwhile, will make Falke jump into the air diagonally and slam her staff down onto her enemy.
Her V-Trigger II, known as Psycho Angriff, lets her "twirl around hitting the opponent into the air, which she then follows up with a surge of Psycho Power". She will have a standard outfit, as well as battle and story costumes.
Here is the information on her Critical Art, V-Skill and V-Triggers from Capcom-Unity. Finally, pressing HP+HK in the air will cause Falke to use Psycho Jaeger, a stronger Psycho Feder that can ricochet off the ground.
Pressing HP+HK during this V-Trigger will result in Falke using Psycho Sturm, a sweeping hit with her staff that can be cancelled into to extend combos.
The release is available to download as an upgrade for free in the Street Fighter V game.
