
WhatsApp assures that with end-to-end encryption in place the data transferred between two users, who are on the latest versions of WhatsApp, are secured by unique secure code that only the two users can access. As soon as the bug was reported online, the WhatsApp team had pushed an update that fixed the issue. The bug was changing the first alphabets of the timestamps with ASCII codes such as the version were showing "89ESTERDAY instead of "Yesterday" and "84ODAY" instead of "Today". Users were quick to spot the bug, and as a result, WhatsApp app rolled out a fix in version 2.18.112 on April 14.

So, the beta testing programme will help tech giant to improve the stability of the app. Due to a mysterious bug, the timestamp on the chat window of users is appearing with numbers. According to the report, the recipient was able to download media from a text sent 2 months ago but there for the messages dating back to nearly a year, the application asks to request the sender to send the file again. As WABetaInfo reports, with the introduction of the new feature, it is possible for users to retrieve old media content again even if it has been deleted from their phone.
Now, apparently, some users are noticing a new feature that lets them request money from their friends and family.
" Only if the file has been deleted in sdcard/WhatsApp/ and you have the message in the chat, you can successfully download it again", says the report. However, with the latest update, WhatsApp will now allow you to restore that deleted image from its server again. The twitter user @FidatoCA first spotted this feature.
