Being In One Direction "Nearly Killed Me", says Liam Payne

Being In One Direction

Liam Payne has revealed that being in One Direction "nearly killed" him. The "Fight for This Love" hitmaker posted a response on Twitter to a story that had surfaced about the former One Direction singer getting close to a backing dancer and another "mystery woman" in Dubai.

He didn't divulge the album title or confirm any features, but he did hint that the artists he's already teamed up with - Balvin, Quavo, Rita Ora, and Zedd - are just the beginning.

The mother-of-one has let slip it's One Directioner Liam who cooks in their household and that she always tries to sleep when her young son, Bear, sleeps in order to get enough rest.

After the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2016, Payne now 24, said he was hesitant to pursue a solo career in fear that it would bolster his existing stardom.

Payne first auditioned for "The X-Factor" when he was 14 and then returned to the competition a few years later.

His One Direction bandmates Harry Styles and Niall Horan have already released solo albums, with Styles hitting the number one spot a year ago, while Louis Tomlinson is also set to release his own album.

"When the band started our break I struggled with the idea of becoming famous again, it scared the living daylights out of me".

"I don't feel like I need to go to that step to feel any differently about how I do about my relationship", Liam said.

During an interview backstage, Payne confirmed that his debut album will be released this fall.

He added: "I was desperate to find out what I was meant to do". "But I'm sure there's time for that to come back around and my thing is the more success we have on our own, the more success we're going to have together in the future".

The father-of-one, who has 13-month-old son Bear with girlfriend Cheryl, was speaking to the radio station for their 'Where's Your Head At?' campaign.
