Board considers leadership changes at Americus Boys & Girls Club

Employees from local businesses, including Sony Electronics, Inc., and traveling clubs worked collaboratively to build 200 bicycles for Boys & Girls Clubs in the San Diego Region.

The building now housing the Boys and Girls Club will be demolished to make room for the Highway 93 expansion plans. "It made me really excited for the future, and that we're going to be continuing on for another 50 years".

No experience is required in order to rappel, and there is no age requirement.

Those interested have between now and the event day to raise the funds to enjoy a day of rappelling.

Two members of the Boys and Girls Club of Pueblo County will be receiving full ride scholarships to Colorado State University-Pueblo. Over The Edge will send professional, certified technicians to install and supervise all rappelling equipment and participants.

Tribal Council Chair Ronald Trahan said CSKT's involvement with the Boys and Girls Club, a non-tribal program, is a symbol of collaboration. We are very thankful to CSKT for their donation. Participants must be between 100 and 300 pounds.

"I had people who helped me when I was a kid, and i like to pay that forward", Nelson said. The timing lines up perfectly with the grand opening of our new facility, and we will have a lot of people we want to thank and have fun with.
