Cloud DVR is going to allow everyone to record up to 100 hours of content.

The DIRECTV NOW app that includes the DVR functionality is available on via the website (for Google Chrome and Safari browsers), Apple iOS 10+, Apple TV (4th generation & higher running tvOS 10+), Chromecast (2nd generation & higher for iOS) and Chromecast Built-in TV. Enjoy access to up to three simultaneous different streams per account. This update includes the coveted cloud DVR, an option to pay for a third concurrent stream, and a new coat of paint for the interface.

Here's the changes you can expect to see... The guide itself has been revamped to show more information, and viewers can browse for something new to watch while still viewing their current stream.

The service, first launched in December 2016, joins a competitive field of other over-the-top, "skinny bundle" pay-TV packages - and the enhancements promise to give DirecTV Now more firepower in vying with rivals.

The new interface emphasizes favorite channels as well as offering more on-demand content with up to 25,000 titles. Sick of your spouse's love for reality TV?

Record your favorites and watch virtually anytime you want for up to 30 days on your compatible smartphone, tablet or connected big screen at home. Don't worry - we've got you covered beyond the standard two streams with a third stream for $5 per month. Record an entire series or just one episode on nearly all our channels. This summer the company plans to launch a commercial service for up to 100 hours to keep up to 90 days, for Dollars 10 per month. Plus you can fast forward and rewind programs.

If you happen to jump into a live episode late, you can return to the beginning of that episode and immediately start recording. Subscribers on vacation, for instance, will be able to watch local news and weather reports related to their vacation destination while they're there.

Entertainment, Uninterrupted - you'll never miss a beat with our new layout, because your stream will be playing in the background, or on a pop-up.

Furthermore, the DirecTV Now apps on iOS and tvOS have been updated with a redesigned interface and more.
