'Fortnite Battle Royale' may be getting a new weapon

With the burst assault rifles coming, other weapon families should be getting some new additions in the future.

The current burst assault rifle in the game comes in white, green and blue but this new one will allow purple and oranges to drop. From that, it looks like the new burst assault rifles could be added by tomorrow. The assault rifle with scope still has yet to receive an epic and legendary weapon, as well as the submachine gun.

Wha we'll find inside, however, we'll have to wait and see.

Version 4.2 will arrive tomorrow starting at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET, and there will be some downtime associated with it. This means a new set of weekly challenges happen two days earlier which is nice if you're craving more Fortnite. Then again, Epic Games could simply use the format of the mode for use with a new crossover entirely by replacing Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet with another superhero or villain possessing similar attributes and a different item. The guided rocket launcher, smoke grenade and crossbow have all been removed from the game.

Epic Games has announced major changes to the Avengers: Infinity War villain Thanos' damage and health in Fortnite Battle Royale's Infinity Gauntlet limited timed mode today. The changes that have been made to Thanos in Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet mode include the increase of the damage that his beam does from 12 to 20 against players, an increase of his punch damage from 80 to 100 and a reduction in Thanos' health from 800 to 500.

With Season 4 coming out around the same time as the new Avengers movie, this crossover doesn't seem all that unusual.
