Samsung steps up the midrange with the A8

Samsung steps up the midrange with the A8

Among them, the Galaxy J6 (2018) is a purely mid-range Android smartphone that apparently will be officially unveiled later this month. It may be fueled by a 3700mAh battery under the hood and run on Android Oreo out of the box.

The device as the name suggests is quite compact and features a 5.8inch Super AMOLED display carrying a resolution of Full-HD+.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 design will reportedly be similar to the Galaxy S9.

For those who missed it, we also revealed the complete Galaxy J6 specs (and the J4's) earlier this week. Samsung Galaxy J6 could feature a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter with flash. And to achieve that, the company will need to bundle an in-screen fingerprint sensor in the Galaxy S10, according to SamMobile, which cited a Chosun report. Its screen goes to the edge of the top frame of the phone, but for the camera and the sensor - a cutout area - or 'Notch', because it is known colloquially.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is available with a cashback of Rs. 10,000 on PayTM, bringing down the effective price of the device to just Rs. 49,900. And hopefully before Samsung gets distracted by the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Tab S4 which, like is predecessor, will sport the previous year's (2017) hardware instead of the latest and greatest.

A recent leak claims that Samsung is going to launch two new models this year. The Galaxy A8 Star seems to be packing a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which could be Samsung's very own Exynos 7885 SoC, the same one used in the A8 and A8+.

It is expected that this technology will be more expensive, but it will also be in demand in household appliances, cars and the Internet of things.

It will have a 13-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

However, storage space and battery life are both reasonable, sitting at 64GB and 3,000mAh respectively. The device also rich in terms of sensors; it has a heart-rate sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, barometer, and a gyroscope sensor.

Last year, Samsung launched its new Galaxy Note collection which was Note 8 at Rs 67,900.
