"These Aren't People, They Are Animals": Donald Trump On Migrants

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he would soon push for full funding of his promised wall along the USA border with Mexico, which could spark budget battles in a Congress fractured over his immigration policy.

Mr Trump has been a vocal critic of California's so-called sanctuary immigration policies, with laws introduced previous year barring police from asking people about their immigration status or helping federal agents with immigration enforcement.

"You wouldn't believe how bad these people are", he said. We are stopping many of them.

He tweeted: "The weak illegal immigration policies of the Obama Amin. allowed bad MS 13 gangs to form in cities across the U.S. We are removing them fast!" "It's insane", he said. To this Trump replied, "It's a disgrace and we're suing on that".

Republicans see backlash to the law as a potentially galvanising issue during the midterm elections, especially with Trump's anti-immigrant base.

He vented about the nation's immigration laws, calling them "the dumbest laws on immigration in the world". So we're going to take care of it, Margaret.

The president met with mayors, sheriffs and other leaders from California at the White House on Wednesday, all of whom back his hard-line stance on immigration.

Trump said California's law forced the release of illegal immigrant criminals, drug dealers, gang members and violent predators into the communities.

Trump has referred to undocumented immigrants associated with gangs as "animals" in the past, and his stance on immigration continues to divide Americans. "Mexico talks but they do nothing for us, especially at the border".

He blamed the influx of illegal immigrants on the USA having "the dumbest laws on immigration in the world". "But we want people based on merit". He said, ' We are taking those people out of the country to a level and taking it out in such a number that never before happened. We're not looking to keep them out.
