Assassin's Creed Odyssey Gameplay Preview from E3

Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be no different. At E3, the fine folks at PlayStation sat down with Ubisoft to play through some of the game.

Corre said that Odyssey "is a service". However, now it seems that Ubisoft is saying that the game will employ a games-as-a-service type model. He clarifies it further by saying that "the idea with Odyssey is to create new content every week so that it's a [lively] adventure for the fans".

In fact, given just how large Assassin's Creed Origins' map was (among the largest open-world games this generation), we were keen to see how Odyssey would compare.

He continues: "So there's always something new, something fresh and something they can discover and appreciate". We got a very decent flavor for the various new mechanics and systems that distinguish Odyssey from its predecessor and explore some of the handsome Greek islands that comprise its (huge) map.

After Egypt last year, "Assassin's Creed" is set to take gamers to Ancient Greece, in the year 431 BC. I'd imagine that kind of thing will return with the Greek pantheon for Odyssey.
