Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Gameplay And Special Editions

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Gameplay And Special Editions

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is changing up how the Call of Duty franchise releases DLC. What's even better is that this offer starts tonight (June 11, 2018). Along with the announcement of their being three special editions of Black Ops 4, Activision also revealed that there will be a Black Ops Pass available for the Zombies mode.

Q: Will I be able to buy parts of Black Ops Pass content individually, like DLC Map Packs from previous Call of Duty games?

While there was no new Black Ops 4 news shared by Activision during Sony's E3 showcase, there was a big update made.

Pricing for the Black Ops Pass was not announced; we'll report back with more details later. BOP content should be downloaded from the in-game store only; do not purchase separately, or you will be charged again.

Fog of war has been added and a lot more are coming to Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

Activision's FAQ page for the Black Ops Pass contains some justification: "We're redefining the digital content season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 by delivering more content with more frequency". While Zombies compose a solid portion of the Black Ops Pass, Multiplayer and Blackout are still present, which means this rumor is at least somewhat untrue.

But what if you were given the bog standard physical version of the game as a gift at Christmas, surely you can buy the pass then? Instead of four separate content downloads, expect more robust and more frequent availability of maps and other content. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 out later this year, it's a smart way for Sony and Activision to rope prospective consumers into the Black Ops universe.

"Black Ops 3 combines three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies".
