Singer, 13, earns Howie Mandel's golden buzzer on America's Got Talent

When British teen Courtney Hadwin stepped onto the stage to audition on America's Got Talent, no one could have expected what happened next.

13-year-old singer Courtney Hadwin hit the stage for a performance on Tuesday night (June 12) - and her singing skills were so good that Howie Mandel hit the golden buzzer after her audition! 'The only thing I can do for you young lady is give you this!' before slamming the Golden Buzzer and sending a tearful Courtney straight through to the live shows.

Courtney, 13, is from Hartlepool and her audition for America's Got Talent was seen on the show this week.

"Bloody hell, Courtney! You were this shy little thing when you first came out". "Oh my gosh. You are not from this era", he says seeming disappointed he can't offer her a record deal there and then.

From the first moment Hadwin began to sing, judge Simon Cowell was absolutely floored, and he had nothing but praise for the wonderful songstress after her performance. Tyra Banks serves as host while Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell serves as judges.

For the rest of the song the audience are on their feet, as she belts out the 1968 song - and the performance finishes with a standing ovation from everyone in the auditorium.

And "go for it" is exactly what she did. "I've never seen anything like that". "It was the first time Janis Joplin got signed".

In 2018, she was a finalist on The Voice Kids UK, airing on ITV in the United Kingtom.

America's Got Talent is an American reality television series aired on NBC, and part of the global Got Talent franchise. She later tweeted saying it was "more than I ever could have dreamed of".
