The New Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 Trailer is Here!

Marvel and Netflix have released a second trailer for the second season of Luke Cage, which returns on June 22.

The latest trailer for Luke Cage's upcoming Netflix season spotlights Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard), and she wants Cage to be her "dark chocolate boy scout". As she enlists her daughter in the family business, Mariah must battle a formidable foe in John "Bushmaster" McIver (Mustafa Shakir), who vows to take what's hers.

The trailer starts with Mariah staring out over the city before walking down a corridor with portraits of women on the walls as she intones, 'Black women have always had superpowers. In March, Netflix announced that Annabella Sciorra will play Rosalie Carbone, "a risky downtown criminal underworld power player with an eye, and an agenda, toward Harlem". The video then zooms in on Misty's new appendage, which she will no doubt begin to use on the streets of NY and Harlem to fight alongside Luke Cage. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can't save. The series also stars Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Gabrielle Dennis, and Rosario Dawson.
