Marcus Jamal Taylor
Jamal was born and reared in Philadelphia, Pa. Starting at the age of 7, he took lessons in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap dance, then went on to the Philadanco School of Dance and the Philadelphia High School of Creative and Performing Arts, majoring in dance with a minor in music and theatre. Interested in theatre, he performed in numerous school productions and original scores written and produced by creative writers.
Jamal is dedicated to the arts and continues to work on his music and contribute to local arts and theatre productions. He also recently started National Association of Gays For Change, a group he hopes will change the way the LGBT community takes on goverment, religion, politics, HIV/AIDS, and each other. I remember thinking my mother and grandmother were so un-hip and out-of-date. Any attempt they made to make a social connection with me in my generation was awkward, weird, and not perceived well by me at all. As a matter of fact, I believe I called it "corny."

Last month I bitched -- I mean, talked -- about being left alone in our thirties, and if you are here, you are back to see what I meant when I was saying all the good ones are miserably taken. Now just because you are reading this, that does not guarantee that you are one of the good ones miserably taken.

This blog is a little different from what I usually like to bitch (talk) about. As I talk with others in my age bracket (I’ll be 33 soon), I find I’m not alone. There is a form of age discrimination in the community that leaves us 30-somethings high and dry and alone, and it's pissing me off.

People will only see you for what you portray to them. Thinking your ass or your penis is your best asset and having it as your main picture to your profile is all a person will see you for.
