Love the Future into Reality

I believe that humans are equipped with amazing tools of imagination, intellect, and desire. With these brushes God intends us to paint our lives and our world with good things, using them to maximize our capacity for creating love. And what's more, God has filled the universe with unshaped matter, a powerful energy vibrating with anticipation to become the substance of what we create. I call this power the Divine Potential.

The Bible speaks of the Potential as 'the substance of things hoped for.' The Buddha is quoted saying,      "What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind."

The Substance of the Universe is at our disposal to shape with our love.

If we truly love something we give it all our attention, we hope for it, we long for it and do whatever we must to attain it. This proactive passion is the heartbeat of faith. This love-faith is not difficult, as some institutions would like us to believe. It is as close as our breath, as easy as thought, and a natural part of living.

Can you imagine loving your future into reality? I think that is the essential teaching of the great teachers of all religions, and the success of many great people. Every day they imagine the best and most lovely outcomes of their future, and act accordingly. The love what they do, because they do what they love!

This very minute, the Divine Potential is shaping the tomorrow we are loving today.
