A bill to repeal NH's same-sex marriage law
We read all about other states in the Feb 2012 newsletter, but saw no news about New Hampshire. Possibly tomorrow, Feb 15, the NH legislature will be voting on a bill to repeal NH's same-sex marriage law, and voting to replace it with a civil union law that would allow ANYONE to enter into a CU with another person; thus, under the new CU law, even siblings could enter into a CU. The new law would also allow overt discrimination by any agency or organization if that entity did not wish to recognize the CU of any 2 people. Thankfully, Governor Lynch has already indicated his intention to veto any such bill- however, he is not running for re-election this fall!

On this Valentine's Day, while we are professing our undying love for each other, and celebrating our civil rights as a legally married couple in NH, the plot is afoot to deny others those same rights, based only on whom they love. We hope your webzine will cover this story further in the future.
