Communication is important in any relationship. However, when you have a family, communication becomes even more important. Kids don’t deserve to grow up in homes full of yelling or door slamming, or to wake up to find Mommy or Daddy sleeping on the couch. Below, you will find some helpful tips you and your partner can incorporate into your daily lives. Schedule a time to fight, and do it in the least aggressive way possible.

When you and your partner are having a conversation, do you use the common way of communication by speaking words, or do you have an alternate form? Many couples seek out alternate forms of communication for important discussions because they fear the traditional form of the spoken word may lead to confrontation due to the use of a wrong word or getting caught up in emotion.
