What is the problem, your mate or your ambitions? Learn to love your mate for who she is instead of who you thought you wanted her to be.

When we are teens, we imagine the perfect mate.  We see them with Lucy Lawless’s boobs, Ricky Martin’s hair, Jason Statham’s muscles, Angelina’s lips.  We see them in our dreams where they bring us flowers, save us from our woes, buy us diamonds and houses and cars.  They hold us when we cry and they always say exactly the right thing.  They are the perfect mate.
