Lesbian Jealousy: How Much Is Too Much?

Every emotion has a purpose. Whether it serves a good purpose or not is up to you.

Every emotion has a purpose. Yes, that includes jealousy. In fact, jealousy is made up of a variety of emotions, so, therefore, it may be harder to overcome and understand. All emotions are trying to tell us something about ourselves, and until we find out what we are missing in ourselves, we will still have the fear that caused the emotion in the first place. Acknowledging jealousy is the first step to overcoming it. If we feel ashamed of being jealous, we may try to mask it with alternate emotions, such as anger, frustration, or resentment.
