What the LGBT Community Will Gain in 2012

As we have witnessed over the past year, an incredible movement for lesbians, gays, and transgender couples has taken place among the general public, and decision-makers from local governments to international corporations. There is much yet to come, and here are a few advances we expect to happen in 2012.

It should be of little surprise to anyone that, since 2012 is an election year, the stakes are higher than ever in regard to the fight for LGBTQ equality. It may turn out to be a year that presents clear challenges but potential victories around the country, as gay and lesbian Americans continue to demand the rights that should already be afforded to them by the United States Constitution.
