I have been married for a very long time now, and can share with you that I am more in love today than I was the day I married him. Love is extraordinary, and I have come to learn that longevity in marriage and real commitment are not the norm among heterosexual couples. So I understand that my love story is extraordinary.
I could not imagine my children not having the same experience in love. It is, after all, the one true thing every living being -- especially the human kind -- seeks out. We all want it. We sing about it. We write about it. We live for it. Unconditional, absolutely dedicated L O V E. This kind of love encapsulates the idea that marriage is the ultimate commitment and partnership, and promises a life enduring all, for better or worse, rich or poor, healthy or sick, side by side until the end of time as we know it.
