Someone You Must Know: Tammy Freeman
Two consenting adults should have the right to marry if they choose to!
Since March of 2010, Tammy Freeman and her company Pink Dot Concepts have been doing their part to make marriage happen for LGBT couples. After the somewhat surprising and continually frustrating experience of “coming out” to every vendor during her personal wedding-planning process, Freeman decided to offer a unique solution. She built an event-planning company specifically for lesbian and gay couples. Freeman tells 10,000 Couples, “We are a strategic marketing and branding company that aims to provide a vehicle to connect small businesses to the end consumer. Our goal is to establish relationships and our chosen method to do this is through events.” What this means for the LGBT community is that we now have the opportunity to plan our weddings, commitment ceremonies, and unions without facing the presumptions of a hetero-centric business world.
