Same-Sex Couple in the Lead of Crate and Barrel Wedding Contest

By Delena Wilkerson, Publisher   Tue, Mar 29, 2011

Robbie and his finance, Allen are currently #2 in a long list of couples competing for the Crate and Barrel Ultimate Wedding contest this year.

When love calls, you gotta respond or you might just miss out on the love of your life. Fortunately, for Robbie and Allen they answered their calls, their emails, the IMs, and their hearts. Love At First Wink tells their story. Now, engaged to be married, Robbie and Allen are responding to a call of a different kind. They're on a mission for marriage equality, and in so doing, they may soon be the first same-sex couple to win a national contest not sponsored by the LGBT community alone.

They're working for more than the $100,000 at stake. According to Robbie, "With only a handful of states allowing same-sex marriage and numerous others currently fighting for marriage equality in the courts, now is the time to show support for the last remaining civil rights issue in US history: marriage equality".
