Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan continue to thrive on the love of their unique creative callings and each other after 17 years together. On the 18th of this month, they also celebrate the anniversary of their wedding ceremony, held in 2008 at the Clift Hotel in San Francisco. UK native Simon, best known as the "Creative Ambassador-at-Large" of Barneys New York, is also a columnist for The New York Observer and an author. Simon's handsome husband Jonathan is a well-known and mighty talented potter, interior decorator, and owner of Jonathan Adler Design Company. 

The couple met on a blind date in November 1994 and quickly found much in common.

“We have a ridiculous amount in common,” Mr. Doonan said. “We both hate smug people. We both rant at the same things.” And, he added, “We both drink a lot of tea.”  --The New York Times, 9/19/2008

Delena is the publisher and editor of 10,000 Couples magazine. Over the past 25 years Delena has published many articles, edited a national newsletter, and been both author and editor of several how-to books on financial management for nonprofits.  Some of these experiences might even help with this latest venture.  For certain, her experiences at the helm of a local nonprofit organization taught her how to get the job done with minimal resources.  She is a graduate of Livingstone College in North Carolina and the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration.  Delena currently lives in Oak Park, IL with her spouse and son, cat and koi.
