We have a lot to celebrate this June. Its Pride month all over the world. Its also Father's Day for many, including us. The US moved closer to repealing DADT and gay and lesbian couples are celebrating ceremonies of all kinds. In fact not only do we have the largest ever list of Anniversaries this month, we just started Gay and Lesbian Weddings Worldwide for our couples who want you to share their joy with you. Are you staying in touch?
Welcome to the April 2010 Edition of 10,000 Couples! As of this month we are officially subscription-based -- still free, but you'll need to subscribe and log in to see the latest postings. Being a subscriber also allows you to leave comments, respond to polls, and interact with us and with one another. 10,000 Couples is dedicated to celebrating, affirming, and inspiring healthy same sex relationships, homes, families, and community living around the globe. For what we say we represent to accurately reflect reality, however, we need YOU! You -- LGBT couples from all cultures and walks of life -- need to be represented on our site. So, please talk to us, share your stories, and join our Campaign to profile 10,000 Inspiring Gay and Lesbian Couples like you in 2010. (Remember, if you need to make your photo anonymous -- just your joined hands or a silhouette of the two of you -- you may, though the more of our faces the world sees, the more we will be accepted.)

10,000 Couples presents a wide angle look at the milestones of every day living -- from love's beginnings to joint home making right through life to the making of your family legacy with the seriousness and the humor we deserve. You will find advice, stories, resources, inspiring portrayals, and opportunities for networking with the community at large. Why? Because we are and always have been in positive, healthy, and joy filled relationships and it is time those images get equal attention and equal care.
We are especially motivated by those who are just falling in love for the first time and are looking for positive role models as well as by those who have lived in the isolation closet and are looking for community. And if you're still single take heart, there is plenty you too will find of interest, we promise.
